King Salman Heart Centre at King Fahad Medical City was established in 2005 (1426 Hijri) with aim to deliver a state of the art medical and surgical services for cardiac, vascular and thoracic diseases, to raise the competency standard of its employees, to promote the medical research that in return will further advance the standard of health care services delivered to Saudi populations and to provide advanced support for ministry of health hospitals at secondary level in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
