Saudi doctors presented their invention using medical simulation at the Medical Education Conference in October 2017 at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.

Dr. Abdulrahman Yasin Sabbagh, Emergency Medicine Consultant at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC), explained the usage of the device as a training tool that allows medical students and residents to practice and apply the right method to treat cases of dislocated shoulder, elbow, and fingers within a safe learning environment. The aim of this invention is to bring trainees to a level where they can provide the necessary medical care for joint dislocation cases before applying the treatment to patients in hospitals. Using simulation device will promote the goals and principles of patient safety.

The simulation device was invented and designed using tools and materials that are available at low cost by Dr. Abdulrahman Yasin Sabbagh, Emergency Medicine Consultant; Dr. Mohammed Zaher, Emergency Medicine Consultant at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital; and Dr. Loai Sulaimani, Emergency Medicine Consultant at King Abdulaziz University.
