The Continuous Professional Development Administration is working to support all medical staff to maintain, develop, and increase knowledge, problem-solving, technical skills or professional performance standards all with the goal that professionals can provide better health care by offering up-to-date and advanced medical practice via consists of medical, educational activities that include:
Provide the best educational environment that facilitates and encourages healthcare professionals to continually improve their knowledge, skills and the quality of healthcare resulting in a positive patient outcome.
Ensure that ongoing activities meet staff needs that can bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Conduct Professional Education Needs Assessment that to prioritize the general educational needs of every department. Supervise and handle the Visiting Professor of the requesting department for clinical education and development.
Supervise the Scientific Day and Continuous Professional Development Support courses to encourage all King Fahad Medical City departments to participate in extra-beneficial educational events.
Facilitate an Outreach Educational Program to educate people located in the remote areas.
Process the nursing educational activity accreditation request.
Support ongoing King Fahad Medical City Intradepartmental Educational Activities in different medical specialties.
