King Fahad Medical City represented by the Public Relation and Corporate Communications Administration organized an initiative titled "Your Drive is Your Responsibility" aiming to raise womens' awareness to drive their vehicles securely  to keep their families and passengers safe.

Mr. Bassam Al-Braikan, Director of Public Relation and Corporate Communications Administration at KFMC, said that: 'This initiative is launched to achieve the Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and to comply with the decree of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, allowing women to drive vehicles as of 10/10/1439 AH".

"This initiative aims at educating and raising awareness of more than 4000 female employees at KFMC on all matters relating to their rights, duties and obligations in driving vehicles, traffic regulations and purchasing vehicles. The event lasted for two days with the participation of a number of bodies, namely the General Department of  Traffic, Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, Security and Safety General Department at the Ministry of Health, Motor Vehicles Periodic Inspection and Najm for Insurance Services, in addition to Traffic Department of the Security Administration and Emergency Medicine Administration at KFMC, and  "Yatek_khairha " Initiative." Al-Braikan added.

Al-Braikan pointed out that the initiative included a number of training and awareness lectures for the participating bodies covering a number of subjects, namely first aid and rescue procedures, causes of traffic accidents, adherence to traffic laws and regulations, safe driving methods on the road, driver's safety methods, and make female employees familiar with their rights, duties and obligations in driving vehicles, traffic regulations and purchasing vehicles.
