The 4th “For You" Forum discusses developing health services, listens to patients notes

In a friendly meeting which will be held on the next Sunday 15 October by King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) represented by the Executive Administration of Patient Experience under the rubric "the 4th For You Forum" at KFMC Main Auditorium, health care specialists are to discuss the experience of patients and listen to their observations on the medical services provided at the time of receiving treatment at the health institution.

Dr. Ali Asiri, Executive Director of Patient Experience and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said that the meeting was an initiative floated by the KFMC to listen transparently to patients and his family and discuss their observations and evaluation of the service provided before officials concerned directly.

Dr. Asiri added that the forum aims, with the presence of specialists in the health sector, at conveying the voice of patient as a partner in developing and improving the therapeutic experience, overcoming difficulties and obstacles in providing high quality medical care, engaging society in developing health care, improving the patient experience and contributing to the community's health service.

The Executive Director of Patient Experience noted that KFMC has adopted a series of programs that enhance and improve the health care process, such as the Voice of Customer Program, which includes regular visits paid by the leaders to patients, the establishment of a Patient and Family Advisory Council, and a direct meeting with patients through the TV circuit, in addition to "For You Forum".

For his party, Dr. Bassam Al-Braikan, Director of the Public Relations and Corporate Communications Administration, said that the application of patient satisfaction concept in an integrated manner should be preceded by activation of communication in various ways and different channels between the patient and the health institution to assess the patient's experience and the quality of service provided and to know his needs and seek to meet such needs. He stressed that improving communication with the patient and enhancing his participation as an active player in the health system would contribute significantly to promoting the health of individual in particular and community in general.
