KFMC Women Specialized Hospital is accredited by the UNICEF as a " Baby-friendly Hospital" after fulfilling ten steps specified by WHO and UNICEF to encourage and protect breastfeeding by implementing the best healthcare practices.

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Yamany, CEO of KFMC, received the accreditation certificate from Dr. Ahmed Al Jedai, Assistant Deputy Health Minister for Supportive Medical Services in the presence of Mishari Al-Dakhil, Supervisor-General of the Nutrition General Department, Ministry of Health; Bandari Abu Nayan, Breastfeeding Program General Supervisor, Ministry of Health; Dr. Fahad S. Al Ghofaili, Executive Director of Medical Affairs; and Dr. Bahauddin Sallout, Medical Director of Women's Specialized Hospital.

Al-Yamany asserted that the given accreditation emphasizes the international criteria implementation to the specialized healthcare services which is sought by us to render health services to patients. He indicated that the program is governed by WHO and UNICEF policies and terms under the supervision of the Ministry of Heath represented by Nutrition General Department. Al-Yamany explained that the program is preceded by phases and steps that must be implemented and reviewed. Based on the initial assessment by the concerned committees, a conception about implementing these steps will be developed and followed by the final assessment before delivering the certificate.
