The Ministry of Health has recently honored KFMC in the celebration of cancer-combating program 5th anniversary where KFMC has effectively contributed through the Breast Cancer Early Detection National Program
KFMC CEO stated that supporting the health programs and contributing to their success is a KFMC well established approach, and one of its most prominent priorities and pillars to achieve the desired result, which is enhancing the Saudi society health, and protecting it from all cancer types and its serious complications.
"KFMC always seeks to contribute in enhancing the society's health awareness about cancer diseases and their causing risk factors through scientific conferences, specialized workshops, international days organized by KFMC annually with the participation of specialists and speakers to combat this disease. Further, KFMC participated in supporting the Ministry of Health programs through cancer's early detection and health awareness programs. In addition to train all KFMC health staff to spread the health awareness concept and reduce cancer and mortality rates". KFMC CEO said.
It is worth mentioning that KFMC has participated in the program since the establishment of its basic concept in 2012 AD by receiving all mammogram tests performed in all program's fixed and mobile clinics to be read by Mammography consultant physicians, receiving all suspected cases in KFMC Mammogram Department, and performing all required checkup along with the samples to accurately diagnose the cases followed by providing the integrated treatment for the cancer proven cases.
