The human body consists of 50-75% fluids or water. The percentage can vary depends on the gender; male or female. Fatty tissue (fats) reduces the water percentage in the body.


How much water should you drink daily?

The recommended amount could vary depending on several factors such as:

  • Age
  • gender
  • Health status
  • Person activity
  • The amount of sweating



Dehydration & thirst

You can feel thirst when you lose about 2-3% of the body's water, while mental performance decreases when the body loses 1% of the water before feeling thirsty.


Signs of thirst:

  • Headache
  • Poor concentration
  • Tiredness and coldness
  • Constipation
  • Lack of urination
  • Dry mouth
  • Muscle and joint pains
  • Dry skin and lips
  • Open appetite
