Blood pressure:

The force of blood through the walls of the arteries.

Each time the heart pumps blood through the arteries and the walls of the arteries, blood pressure reaches its highest level and this condition is called systolic pressure.

When the heart is resting and does not pump blood, the pressure reaches its lowest level and is called diastolic pressure.

Types of hypertension:

 

  • Primary hypertension

Mostly in adult, there is no major cause and this type of hypertension is called (essential) and it can gradually develop over time.

 

  • Secondary hypertension

High blood pressure in this type is associated with the taking of certain drugs or conditions,

 

 

 

How to control blood pressure?

There are some medications to treat high blood pressure:

  • Usually, one type of medication is not enough to control blood pressure, and it is possible that a person needs more than one type
  • It is very important to take the prescribed medication according to doctors orders

 

Factors that help control blood pressure at home, including:

 

  • Maintain a healthy diet that includes potassium and fiber.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Physical activity includes 30 minutes per day.
  • stop smoking.
  • Reduce sodium intake (salt) by less than 1500 mg per day.
  • Reduce stress, try to avoid what is causing it you can also practice meditation and yoga exercises.
  • Stay healthy and maintained an ideal weight.
