Next Tuesday, 2nd of April, King Fahad Medical City "KFMC" will hold an international conference on pharmacy profession transformation in light of the Kingdom 2030 vision under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, to discuss the laws and regulations governing such profession and what is new in Drug Safety and associated techniques in the presence of an elite of local and international specialists in KFMC main auditorium.
The three-day conference aims at discussing research findings in the field of Medication Therapy of various specialties and examining all technical means leading to progress in healthcare services in Drug Safety field.
Dr. Nayef Al-Yamani, Director of Pharmacy Services Administration and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, said:" the moderator will discuss through 33 papers the role of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in healthcare transformation, the role of insurance companies in promoting pharmacy profession, the strategic plan of the Scientific Board of Clinical Pharmacy, its role in healthcare transformation, the role of leaders in healthcare transformation, pharmaceutical regulations in the Kingdom from an economic point of view and keeping pharmaceutical services in KFMC on track with national transformation.
The conference is expected to witness the presence of a large number of specialists and those who are interested in pharmaceutical services with the participation of international speakers from the United States, in addition to local speakers from the Ministry of Health (MOH), SFDA, Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society (SPS), the Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacists (SSCP), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and Saudi Society of Medication Education (SSME).
