Research and Scientific Publication Center (RSPC)
RSPC main mission is to support the conduct of high quality, priority-driven research and the creation of a generation of highly trained researchers. RSPC provides research education, consultation, assistance, administrative support, advice, and direction to all KFMC staff members currently conducting research or those interested in initiating a research activity
Services provided:
Educates KFMC staff on basic and advanced principles of methodological aspects of best practice in the development, conduct and publication of research.
Organizes advanced research training opportunities for selected KFMC investigators (such as MSc in Clinical Research) at world-renowned academic institutions to create a generation of highly trained researchers.
Provides research support services ( biostatistics, epidemiology, study design consultations and publication assistance including content and copy editing) to KFMC investigators.
Allocates research coordinators to different hospitals and centers to facilitate the proper development and conduct of clinical studies.
Assists staff members in securing extramural funding in support of their research activities.
Provides administrative support in the preparation and subsequent negotiation and award of contracts, grants, and collaborative arrangements with governmental agencies, health organizations, and commercial firms including pharmaceutical companies, as well as other educational institutions.
Recognizes KFMC research staff achievements (Incentives and Awards).
Ensures compliance of KFMC research with Good Clinical Practice with unlimited support to the IRB operation.
- Provides support for external research studies involving graduate students from local, regional and international universities through the External Research Review Committee that reviews proposals and grants approval according to internal policies and procedures.
