"I am very proud and honored to present to you the Rehabilitation Hospital of King Fahad Medical City (KFMC-RH).This facility has the distinction of being inaugurated King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz and has had endless support from the Minister of Health and Chief Executive Officer".

Mission:

To become a Model System for Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Services, Patients Care, Medical Education, and a Center of Research.

Vision:

To be a leading provider of high quality rehabilitation services in Saudi Arabia

Achievements:

  • KFMC-RH is now FIM credentialed as the first and only governmental Saudi Hospital.

  • Implementing a specially designed Health Information System (HIS) called Rehab CorTTex integrated with the main HIS system sued by the other KFMC Hospitals and centers.

  • Participating in designing and formulating the National Medical Rehabilitation Strategy under the Ministry of Health.

  • Providing the consultation to Saudi High Medical Commission at the Ministry of Health.

  • Establishment the following clinical programs: The first national CP Program.The first national Cochlear Implant Program.The first national Low Vision Rehab Program Future project.

  • Organizing an international conference in Medical Rehabilitation in November 2008 under the name of “PaPartnership in Rehabilitation the Holistic Approach

  • Achieving the CARF Accreditation by end 2009.

  • Applying the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in addition to the KFMC system (ICD10am)
