mission:
The Department of Neurosurgery at The Neuroscience Center, KFMC, aims to be a leader in providing the best possible continuum of care for patients requiring tertiary neurosurgical care. This would include adult and pediatric patients (Please refer to the pediatric neurosurgery section Manual).
In parallel, we aim to be a source of new clinical neurosurgical science and literature, and be involved in national and international scientific bodies in order to find new ways or to solidify existing methods to help neurosurgical patients get the best quality of life possible, help set standards of neurosurgical care and distribute the knowledge locally and internationally.
Our objective is to have highly trained neurosurgeons that provide neurosurgical management for patients, set high standers of quality of care, thoroughly train neurosurgical residents and run clinical studies to provide literature and conferences with a wealth of knowledge.
All this would be done through a multidisciplinary approach from within the department and the Neurosciences Center and by being involved with other departments and disciplines within and outside KFMC, in and outside Saudi Arabia.
vision:
Our vision is to become leaders in providing a continuum of excellent tertiary neurosurgical care according to current world-class standards and to continue improving upon them according to best scientific evidence that is provided by the latest literature and hopefully our own future published studies.
